The Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator (MBTI) is an inventory designed to identify an individual's preferences, strengths, and personality types. The questionnaire was developed by Katherine Briggs and her daughter Isabel Myers based on their work with the personality types theory by Carl Jung. Currently, inventory is among the psychological instruments that are widely used around the world (Jordan, 2011). Both Briggs and Myers were fascinated by the psychological types theory of Jung and recognized that this theory could be applied in the real world.
